Sn\u00e4g\u00e4ri<\/strong> is a surreal hamburger bar. The work is a multi-art performance and installation that mimics the style of a traditional vertical kiosk. Performance artist Miradonna Sirkka leads the audience to Sn\u00e4g\u00e4ri, and asks them for their orders. You think you’re ordering a burger, but the conversation turns to you. Soon you’re already filling in a strange questionnaire that will eventually determine the contents of your burger. Based on a form and an order, artist Sofi H\u00e4kkinen will create a kitschy burger sculpture in front of your eyes, which you can take home with you – in a take-away box, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sn\u00e4g\u00e4ri, created by Recover Laboratory’s artistic directors, was commissioned for New Performance Turku Biennale in Turku in 2023. It was first performed in the autumn in the caves under the Turku wastewater treatment plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to NPTB, Sn\u00e4g\u00e4ri has been performed for example at Provinssirock and Espoo Cultural Centre’s NYE party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
