group. CORE works reflect the present moment, offering the viewer an alternative reality in all its kitsch, humour and absurdity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CORE covers the artistic practice of the group&#8217;s artistic directors Miradonna Sirka and Sofi H\u00e4kkinen, as well as their collaborations with other artists.<br\/><br\/><em><strong>&#8220;At the heart of what we do is honesty about the motives and materials of the works, freedom of intuition and queer thinking. Dramatic gestures and clich\u00e9s emerge from the mundane with a sharp camp spirit, highlighting the simultaneous existence of futility and meaningfulness. <\/strong><\/em><br\/><em><strong>We deal with everything from the mundane to the most difficult issues in human life. The repertoire includes selected contemporary circus works, stage works, site-specific works, children&#8217;s works, and commissioned works by RecLab member artists.
