RecLab runs the Window Gallery<\/strong> in its premises at Aleksis Kiven katu 16 A and curates (often site-specific) art exhibitions. Visual art also forms a natural part of the collective’s productions, which often feature works by visual artists; sculpture, painting, video art and installations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visual art is at the heart of the group’s artistic thinking and combining it with contemporary circus, music and performing arts is an important part of developing a multi-arts approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VERY LOW-KEY ZODIAC SHOW (always in retrograde)<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

RecLab’s Sofi and Hundu have curated a very low-key zodiac show for 2025 at the Window Gallery, inspired by zodiac signs with a serious sense of humour. The exhibition lasted for 12 months and every month the gallery displayed works by three artists representing the same zodiac sign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ART x PERFORMANCE<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The artistic practice of RecLab’s artistic directors Sofi H\u00e4kkinen and Miradonna Sirka is originally based on visual art and contemporary circus. Their works often combine sculpture and performance in some way, and sometimes take the form of an art exhibition, such as this Tempus Fuckit (A Collector’s Item), exhibited in 2024 at the GUK gallery in Lahti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WINDOW GALLERY ON VAASANKATU<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The window gallery was launched on a small scale in RecLab’s first office space on Vaasankatu in Kallio in 2023, featuring works by Eeva Lietonen, Sandra Lola Dada, Hemuloord, Jesse Avdeikov, Sofi H\u00e4kkinen and Luumu Tursaa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
