The bubble is an underwater wonderland, like a giant chapter in a puzzle book and everyone’s very own adventure. Here you can either just wander and wonder or join in the fun!

Bubbles can be built in theatres, schools, containers and other spaces. The work combines contemporary circus, dance, music, visual arts and participatory game design, allowing participants to take part in the performance – or just watch at their own leisure.

Shimmering jellyfish, whimsical mock clouds, an underwater dancer, a circus artist and DJ Frog share with you an imaginative bubbly world of joy, play and freedom.

On arrival, everyone will receive an instruction and task booklet with clear instructions for the adventurers on how to operate in the space. The playfulness transforms the space into an adventure that engages and inspires the audience to actively participate.

The work has also been developed with Miradonna Sirka, Maiju Saarimaa, Samuli Kiveläki and Alpi Vaalaja in its earlier stages. In 2023, the group represented Finland in the final of the Circusnext competition, and Kupla was developed as part of this process.
