One Night Only is Recover Laboratory’s bespoke concept, which can be customised for different events. Our collective has commissioned numerous performances, installations, interactive installations and events. Recover Laboratory’s speciality is creating human encounters and a surreal atmosphere by bringing playfulness and experimental artistic elements to the event.

A gala dinner with games
Together with event agency Tapaus, we implemented an experiential and multi-sensory gala evening for a technology company in 2022 and 2021.Kolletiivi was responsible for the artistic content, the script and the game elements of the event.
LAUNCH PARTY FOR HOTEL KATAJANOKKA
Escape The Ordinary was a commissioned work by Hotel Katajanokka to celebrate the company’s entry into the Marriot Tribute Portfolio hotel chain.
PERFORMANCES FOR THE Shrine’S CONCERT SALE TOUR
Recover Laboratory realised contemporary circus and performance pieces for rap artist Pyhimys’ Four Seasons tour in 2019, stretching across concert stages and audiences. The tour’s “Winter” concert was performed at the Jyväskylä Pavilion, “Spring” at Tampere Hall and “Summer” at Flow Festival Red Arena as the Friday night headliner.
BALTIC CIRCLE FESTIVAL CLUB
In 2018, Recover Laboratory organised a joint festival club with Baltic Circle and What the Cirk?!. The evening at the Cirko was an unforgettable celebration as the collective filled the house with contemporary circus, visual art, music, video, theatre and coding.
Participatory Performance in a moving train
Escape Train was the InsideOut Escape Games, TWBA/Helsinki, VR, Nordisk Film and 20th Century Fox’s take on the movie The Orient Express. Escape Train was the first-ever immersive theatre-puzzle experience on a moving train. During the 13 hour and almost 1000 km route from Helsinki to Rovaniemi two team solved mysteries and dove deep into the world of theatre and art. The experience was live stremed all over the world.
